and request your that your password be reset.
The initial password that you receive is used for both Unix and Windows
systems in the lab. When you change your initial password on the Unix
machines, your Windows password is not changed. The Unix and Windows
systems have separate password files; therefore, when you change your
password on one system the other system is unchanged.
Unix:
When you log into a Unix system for the first time you should change
your initial password. To change your initial password within Unix you will issue
the passwd command at the prompt. You will be prompted for
your current password, and then the password that you wish to change to.
Please create passwords that are difficult to crack, but easy to remember. More information on choosing good passwords can be found at

Windows:
When you log into a Windows machine for the first time you will need to
use the initial password sent to you. Upon your initial login you will
