Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) Open House 2008

All members of the University community and their guests are invited to this free event.

MSI will hold an open house on April 23, 2008 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to increase awareness of our services throughout the University of Minnesota community and to showcase the work of the researchers who use our resources.

Activities will include talks, software demonstrations and visual simulations in MSI's Scientific Development and Visualization Laboratory, a live demonstration of interactive supercomputing in the new MSI-Laboratory for Computational Science and Engineering (LCSE) Visualization Laboratory, tours of the MSI machine room where our supercomputers reside, and more.

Location

The Supercomputing Institute is located in Walter Library on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota campus.

Poster session

As an additional part of the open house, MSI will be hosting a poster session open to all researchers currently utilizing MSI resources. The session will be judged and prizes will be awarded for the best posters. Deadline for proposal submission was Friday, April 11, 2008.
